The Washington Society of Association Executives (WSAE) has recognized WRA President and CEO Jan Teague as its Executive of the Year.
The award recognizes a WSAE member executive who has demonstrated leadership through service to the organization, their own association, the association community, and the field of association management.
Criteria for the award includes Jan’s 32-year history in association management, lifetime achievements and contributions. Jan was the 2010 President of the Council of State Retail Association Executives.
In September 2009, Jan was recognized by the South Sound Business Examiner as a “Woman of Influence” for her years of leadership in the business community. Of note was her published book in 1990 called “Building Influence” that won national recognition.
Jan has served on the Board of Directors for the state’s chamber, the Association of Washington Business, and is a member of the Coalition of Washington Business Organizations. She currently serves on the Executive Committee of Enterprise Washington and is a Board member of the Washington Research Council.
