Organized retail crime spotlighted in Monroe

Police report strong link to drug use

The Everett Herald newspaper this week takes a closer look at organized retail crime in the nearby City of Monroe.

Police there report a link between the thefts the need to make money to buy drugs. Stolen items often are sold online at deep discounts to bargain-hungry shoppers.
